Purpose of your role
To deliver commercial sourcing and procurement initiatives and on-going supply governance/risk management support across FIL’s business functions. The Commercial Specialist seeks to achieve value for money services, maximise operational efficiency, and provide effective risk mitigation and operational controls across a range of supply arrangements FIL enters into. Primary duties include: taking responsibility for supply chain/ procurement activity, creation of contract and service SLA in conjunction with legal, negotiations, assisting and mentoring service owners in managing external supplier relationships in particular the performance management, service delivery, SLA monitoring and reporting.
Key Accountabilities

- Accountability and responsibility for leading the sourcing activities relating to the take on, ongoing and any subsequent exit management of suppliers.
- Undertaking operational role in regard to supplier and contract management, Including: facilitating the setup and engaging in / providing oversight of supplier governance arrangements; managing contractual processes & formal contract changes; ongoing periodic supplier benchmarking & financial/risk assessment reviews.
- Fulfilment of day to day purchase requirements pertaining to Hardware / Software’s, communication, professional services (Tech and Non Tech), subscriptions and technology manpower augmentation.
- Work closely with Legal and tax teams for contract documentation, closure and contractual changes in line with Indian / global regulatory and tax requirements.
- Ensuring accurate and up to date of contracts and supplier records are maintained, and commercially sensitive information managed in line with Fidelity’s information security standards.
- Keeping internal stakeholders informed of commercial activities and progress through collaborative working and pro-active communication. Establishing an engagement process & maintaining awareness with/alerting stakeholders of potential future commercial activity.
- Keeping abreast of potential new supply arrangements, latest products/services from a sourcing perspective.
- Playing a key role in looking for cost optimisation measures to get value for money without hampering the delivery and quality.
- Preparation of regular management reporting, Dashboards and metrics.
- Liaise with customers, business units, stake holders and build good working relationships with them.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- B.Com / BA degree + MBA in finance and Business administration.
- Proven 2-4 years’ experience preferably in Global Procurements.
- Experience in working with IT and ITES organisation in procurement function which includes areas of technology and non-tech sourcing
- Knowledge of Sourcing best practises, techniques, tools and systems
- Knowledge and experience in a wide range of contracts and expense types
- Relationship management and performance management skills
- Good team player as well as ability to use own initiative
- Self-motivated, pro-active attitude and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks
- Keen eye for detail with excellent presentation skills in order to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Should have exposure to working in a global environment with an ability to work with people across the globe in different time zones and with different cultures
- Flexibility and an open attitude to change
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience of managing cross organisational/multi-cultural project teams.
- Good negotiation skills, team working skills, and ability to work and operate across teams.
