General Summary:

Responsibilities cover both operations and sales functions, 50% operation and 50% sales.

OPERATION FUNCTION

  • Business Manager is responsible for overall management of customer accounts in the nominated area. The objective of the role is to ensure that the company is the customers’ natural choice for Quality Management services by exceeding their expectations.
  • Responsible for the day/day management of the nominated accounts including the forecasting and achievement of business revenue objectives and BMIs.
  • Establish a regular liaison with the Customers to build long term relationships and further integration by the development and implementation of appropriate the company services to meet identified customer needs.
  • Support the growth of the Group activities by leading staff in continually seeking and reporting on competitor activities and other potential sales leads
  • Responsible for the set up of Customer projects ensuring the contract agreements are clearly documented and formally agreed between GP China and the Customer.
  • Manage the day to day activities in the designated operations area ensuring that the Customer expectations are professionally met by all staff rigorously working in a professional safe and efficient manner consistent with National legislation, Group standards, and individual project requirements.
  • Ensure that all company employees under his/her control working in the Accounts have the appropriate induction (inc. HSE and Quality), materials, documentation, and understanding to ensure the customer requirements.
  • Ensure the required control on employee uniforms, materials and tooling issue and return

SALES FUNCTION

  • Manage sales of the company’s products and services in within a defined geographic area, province or country. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
  • Manages an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train potential sales personnel.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s services.
  • Provides monthly results assessments of sales.
  • Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
  • Establishes personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
  • Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.

REPORTING:

  • Reports directly to China Operations Manager
