About The Strategic Solutions Group (SSG)
The Strategic Solutions Group, part of RWS’s Language Services division, works closely with major accounts and clients of all sizes who are going global with specialized localization services. These services cover the entire localization spectrum, from translating content, media, and audio to creating engaging eLearning programs and transcreating highly impactful marketing campaigns. The SSG works closely with RWS’s Language eXperience Delivery (LXD) platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists, and a network of more than 29,000 translators, who use RWS’s proprietary machine translation, AI, and translation productivity tools, to deliver a 24/7 service to clients.
Job Purpose
Performs a variety of strategic and tactical functions to create and sustain long term client relationships that result in generating business with new customers and profitable revenue growth. Applies deep product and business development expertise in developing client relationships and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Understand and articulate RWS’ Language Service business offerings, capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages, and identify and refer opportunities within each of these areas to internal pre-sales & specialists and client service teams to close
▪ Building and maintain collaborative and harmonious inter-personnel’s relationship and achieve team-work culture
▪ Hunting new language service business by leveraging all of RWS language service offerings, capabilities and resources
▪ Develop prospective new client through various strategies including marketing activities with RWS marketing organization, personal investigation such as internet research, trade show lists, referrals, various professional directories, etc.
▪ Maximize cross-sell and up-sell business with existing client
▪ Maintain excellent relationship with client by providing both timely communication and needed support
▪ Set and manage client's expectation while consulting with each client for best practices
▪ Generate daily outreach efforts to prospective clients
▪ Develop project budgets and create proposals
▪ Manage and control pricing and contractual issues
▪ Formulate sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
▪ Build a productive pipeline and manage each phase of the sales process
▪ Travel (including multiple annual conferences, client meetings) - domestic and/or international
Skills & Experience
▪ Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
▪ At least 5 years of experience in the localization or software industry as BD Manager / Account Manager / Sales / PMO
▪ Excellent written and verbal English and Korean communication skills
▪ Proven certain sales experience in language service / software industry
▪ Proven sales life cycle experience at enterprise clients - lead generation through business closing
▪ Proven track record in achieving sales target
▪ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
▪ Established capabilities managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
