Job Description
BNY Mellon’s Data and Analytics Solutions (“D&A” for short) is a bank backed fintech with more than 200 external investment management firms as clients and 1000+ people in offices globally. The unit is backed by the bank’s largest division – the Asset Servicing and Digital division. Our mission is to treat data as an asset class in it own right and to serve our clients by helping them get value from their investment data. The D&A Content Hub simplifies onboarding through packaged integrations with industry leading vendors. The candidate will provide a business analysis role within Content Hub. S/he will work with other Data & Analytics Solutions team members, and in some cases clients directly, in order to clearly define systems, business, and functional requirements. S/he works collaboratively with Content Hub analysts, developers, and quality assurance to coordinate deliverables. Position requires an individual that is self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision. The individual needs to be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment and handle changing priorities. The individual will be required to interface with clients and other groups within the company, while demonstrating an ability to work in a professional, cooperative manner. Primary tasks will include but are not limited to: Document and validate business requirements Create functional specifications Be the liaison between the configuration specialists, professional services, and clients. Create test plans and perform system testing Research issues and bugs Some travel may be required but mostly limited to an occasional client visit Candidate Requirements: Under continual direction, contributes to Solutions Consulting assignments by supporting competitive, market, and/or analyses. Supports senior staff to gain breadth/depth of knowledge in relevant solutions and strategies for solutions development, adoption and utilization. Supports senior staff by providing relevant research and analysis on client segments, the competitive landscape, and the industry environment. Gains experience through interaction with staff on how the firm drives adoption and utilization of firm solutions. Performing a variety of analytics based on market and client data under the guidance of senior staff. Conducts analyses of evaluation criteria and success metrics (adoption, utilization, etc.) for senior staff. Establishes working relationships with relevant related work groups across the firm. Learns how team integrates with these work groups and the types of data, information, and resources that can be shared/leveraged to accomplish daily work. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. 5-7 years of total work experience is preferred. Financial industry experience preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
