ESSENTIAL TASKS:

1. Verify patient’s eligibility and patient’s insurance benefits and ensure timely updates in HIS

2. Work with cashier to assist individual patient with payer payment related issues upfront

3. Conduct financial counselling and financial screening to patients’ prior treatment

4. GOP (Guarantee of Payment) application from insurance company

5. Escalates any potential non-payment risk to supervisor

6. Discuss with patient for payment plan if there is deferred payment, monitor and follow up with patient to ensure payment is according to the agreed plan;

7. Assure claims go through clean claim check before submitting to insurance company; ？ Assure claims submitted to insurance company in a timely manner

8. Follow up closely on the pending claim documents with different entities and make/update error report on a daily basis

9. Escalates problematic claims to line manager

10. Assure all the claims documents are well maintained in the share folders before submitting to insurance company

11. Assist to train new employee of billing team

12. Other duties and projects based on the operation needs

You Have:

3. Ability to communicate and coordinate on issues with other departments within Jiahui Health family

4. Detail oriented, strong computer, excel processing, and analytical skills

5. Able to work shift, including week-end, overnight duty

6. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant education experience

7. 2-3 years hospital billing, insurance company or insurance broker claims processing experience is preferred

8. Basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding languages a plus

9. Good communication and customer service skills
