The newest member of the Mercedes-Benz family in the Czech Republic is ready to support its global logistics network in the After-Sales section.

The globally active logistics-planning department with its headquarters in Germersheim is responsible for providing the necessary infrastructure for the dynamically growing logistics network. Using state-of-the-art processes and methods in the planning and implementation of our logistics locations, we ensure that all requirements for an efficient global parts supply to workshops and our customers are met.


Your new team is part of this global logistics planning and is responsible for the planning of the intralogistics and automation systems in our worldwide locations. In addition, it ensures the knowledge management of the department within the framework of global governance for worldwide deployment.


WHAT WILL BE YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


In your new role, you will be responsible for Big Data analysis and simulation regarding Supply Chain processes



  • Collection, preparation and analysis of Data regarding global Supply Chain processes, evaluation and interpretation of Data

  • Creation and maintenance of databases and interfaces

  • Simulation of Supply Chain Processes

  • Creation of innovative planning tools and algorithms

  • Further development of existing tools together with the specialists Warehouse Planning & Material Flow planning

  • Verification and validation of Planning tool Data

  • Creation of various planning scenarios

  • Support of experiment execution

  • Interpretation and processing of results

WHAT WE APPRECIATE


  • Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a comparable course of study

  • Reliable mastering of at least one high-level programming language (e.g. Java, C++ or Python)

  • Mastering of Data sources within the field of SQL, SAP, Oracle etc.

  • Basic knowledge of logistics and material flow processes appreciated

  • Knowledge of software for logistics and material flow simulation (e.g. Plant Simulation or AnyLogic)

  • Solid English language skills (written and spoken)

  • German language skills appreciated

  • Very good MS Office skills (including Access)

  • Structural and analytical working

  • Quick perception

  • Autonomous and reliable way of working

  • Flexibility

  • Intercultural competence
