Mission &Main Tasks:

The Quality Engineer within the R&D Cell development department is a new aproach for handling development projects. He plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products: Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical. Is accountable and responsible as driver for the Cell Development Project quality. He has to overlook the whole project lifecycle of the Battery cell development (starting already in Prototype phase). Alignments with the base China projects are of essence.

Job Duties :

• Accountable and Responsible as driver of the cell quality
• Responsible to ensure the timely project execution – meeting the given Car Milestones
• Responsible to track, implement, optimize and monitor the project progress on cross functional and inter department level
• Responsible to create, optimize, maintain processes with stakeholders in China and Germany
• Responsible to manage and align the internal and external stakeholders (e.g. VW Group and suppliers)
• Drive the project reporting through different levels
• Communicate and report through all the levels (Engineering and Management)
• Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.
• Responsibility for preparation of status reports and communication in different comities.
• Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies;
• Responsibility alignments with purchasing, R&D, production and aftersales.

Group wide Coordination with different departments, Joint Venture Partners and vehicle projects

Qualifications：

Education:

• BSc or BTech in Electrical/Chemicall Engineering and or any related technical field
• Quality control certified quality engineer qualification (preferred)

Professional skills:

• Professional experience in development and quality processes in the automotive industry (must have)
• Project management experience (preferred)
• Familiar with Chinese Standards and Regulations for EV (preferred)
• Technical knowhow in High Voltage Battery, Battery Cell or Chemical field (must have)
• Advanced presentation skills.
• Cost sensitive, self-confident, good assertion skills, team player
