Hang Seng’s Operations is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strives for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Banking Operations Manager (KYC, RBWM) .
Principal responsibilities
- Assist Head of Banking Operations and lead a team of CDD professionals to ensure that HASE complies with the regulatory requirement and Group’s Global Standards
- Manage and plan work schedules of team members to ensure optimum coverage for business operations
- Monitor Service Level Agreements and take ownership to address shortfalls or unexpected events
- Supporting the implementation of change programmes that impact the direct team or process
- E nsure Operating Procedures are in accordance with the Business Service's Operating Model and local requirements
- Conduct research using internal and external sources and gather and analyse documentation in accordance with HSBC and regulatory requirements
- Identify cases where additional checks are required, this may include referring cases for escalation to appropriate teams in line with prevailing policies
- Ensure all activities and transactions adhere to prevailing HSBC and regulatory standards
- Lead remediation activity relating to Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks
- Monitor the implementation of new CDD procedures and processes to ensure that HASE is able to comply with the regulatory conduct and prevent any potential Financial Crime Risks
- A ct as a Change Agent to liaise with different internal business stakeholders including Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), RBWM, BRCM, GSC, Regional KYC Operations, Regional RBWM on new CDD processes and Global Standards Requirements
Qualifications
Requirements
- University graduates in related discipline
- Minimum of four years’ experience in Banking Operations, Know Your Customers (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processing and operation management
- Good knowledge of anti-money laundering, customer onboarding and continuous customer review for retail customers
- Experience in managing vendor performance is a plus
- Flexible for occassional business travel to China
- Strong self-motivation with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in tight timeline and under pressure
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua an advantage
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
