JOB DESCRIPTION

To integrate new orders and changes into Production, acting as liaison between Engineering, Materials and Assembly Co-ordinate other functions such as BOM creation, BOM audits and maintenance of job status and engineering releases. The BOM Coordinator is an integral part of the Product Team and can greatly impact the effectiveness of the product that they support.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Contain NC’s and investigate root cause

• Maintaining Production Control Network Activities

• Maintenance of Item Data and Bills of Material

• Verifying and interpreting Project Checklist form for inaccuracies and omissions

• Implementing Product changes from PCR process to Configuration tool and Projects in Baan

• Program and Maintain Logic in Configuration tool to build and update project bills of material.

• Provide summary of suggested configuration specials to engineering

• Making sound decisions that will have a positive impact on production activities

• May participate in or lead continuous improvement activities
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good understanding of the manufacturing process

• Good organizational skills with attention to detail

• Computer literacy with an ability to learn new programs quickly

• Good interpersonal skills

• Baan or similar ERP system experience

• Post-secondary education (Technical College diploma or university degree preferred) or 3 years of equivalent work experience.

• 2 years’experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Technical college diploma or university degree or equivalent
