Job Description
The successful applicant will join ESG Solutions’ Mining and Geotechnical Services Department.

Duties and responsibilities include:
? Travel to locations in China in order to install and maintain ESG’s microseismic monitoring systems.
? Install hardware and software upgrades and troubleshoot system problems both remotely and at client sites.
? Prepare field reports and technical notes.
? Provide remote technical support for clients.
? Train industry personnel and clients on instrumentation usage.
? Assist with the design of microseismic arrays and perform optimization of seismic systems following the installation of new systems or system upgrades.
? Write analysis reports to summarize array design and system optimization work.
? Assist to educate the clients on ESG software suite and the range of ESG support and processing service. Promoting ESG services (include software upgrade and system support) and assist with direct sales and building revenue for services.

Qualifications and Experience
? Bachelor Degree of Engineering in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or related background, Geotechnical or Mining background will be preferred.
? English fluency in speaking, reading and writing.
? Flexibility to travel frequently (sometimes on short notice), and occasionally travel in underground mines.
? Strong computer hardware and software skills, including the ability to efficiently learn new computer software packages.
? Experience with troubleshooting field instrumentation and related hardware will be preferred.
? Comfortable using a variety of hand tools to install and troubleshoot ESG’s seismic systems.
? Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems.
? Fieldwork experience is an asset, particularly relevant to mining and geotechnical industries will be preferred.
? Strong interpersonal skills and high-end customer service.
? Team work consciousness is necessary.
? Be in good health and physically fit.
? Past experience with processing and interpretation of geophysical data or working with other types of data recorded by field instruments, and experience in sales is an asset.
