Job Description

Job Descriptions:

This role will support the Country Head in building, maintaining and developing markets in North China/East China by creating and sustaining effective partnerships with PiL including tuition providers and HEIs, local accounting bodies and stakeholders; initiating and implementing activities in North China/East China for ICAEW students that fully support delivery of the organisation's vision, objectives and strategy.


  • Establish and maintain valued relationships, at all levels, with top universities in North China/East China.

  • Develop and implement activities plan for universities to build ICAEW brand and promote ICAEW qualifications (CFAB, BFP, ACA) and USS program.

  • Approach and support universities to apply for CPL (Credit for Prior Learning) and PiL (Partner in Learning) schemes.

  • Report progress weekly and work with the Country Head to improve our overall lead generation and effectiveness.

  • Manage and organise the annual Conference/Summit; ‘ Business Challenge’; and attend the event to generate pipeline, engage with stakeholders, e.g. university tutors, students, accounting professions etc..

  • Plan and organise events/activities for ICAEW’s members/students and potential members/students (information session, career talks) and be responsible for student support.

  • Identify credible tuition providers, set them up as PiLs, monitor and develop their offering.

  • Support Country Head in organising events such as Regional Academic & Tutor Conference.

  • Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.


Candidate profile:
  • Good standard of education, ideally to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of business development
  • Understanding of professional membership organisations or similar, multi-stakeholder organisations
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex projects, ability to manage and prioritise workload for self and others
  • Good stakeholder management experience and ability to work collaboratively
  • Focussed and results driven
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Polite and professional approach
  • Good general IT skills
  • Good understanding of curriculum development processes
  • Fluent in Chinese and English, oral and written
