As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the busienss development strategy in the assigned area. Managing the marketing action plan to achieve both the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Local Division Manager, Robotics, you will identify opportunities and drives actions necessary to expand into the newly defined areas.
Your responsibilities
- Developing good understanding of respective local markets, competitive environments and ABB position
- Developing appropriate communications for the key audiences and communicating outputs effectively to the right people
- Collecting, analyzing and identifying the robotics local main suppliers
- Identifying opportunities and driving actions necessary to expand into the newly defined areas
- Initiating, implementing and reporting market analysis and marketing activities
Your background
- 5+ years’ of work experience related in marketing, sales, BD, strategy development
- Strong project management experience
- A university degree in engineering, MBA would be beneficial
- Ability to work in multi-cultural & challenging environment, deal with people in different hierarchy levels up to top management
- Strong writing & communication skill in English and Chinese, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
