The Automation and Controls Lead directs and actively manage the team responsible for automation equipment/systems for day to day manufacturing operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide leadership, development, and mentoring for others.
  • Supervise day to day activities of others.
  • Coordinate activities of support groups.
  • Ensure proper documentation practices during job activities.
  • Conduct troubleshooting activities.
  • Train others on systems, software, equipment, machines, procedures, and/or processes.
  • Answer compliance and process questions from others.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to employees.
  • Gather, organize, and communicate operational information to others.
  • Lead and coordinate investigations and studies.
  • Lead process improvement activities and teams to meet strategic goals.
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage logistics.

Essential for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Engineering or Science related field.
  • Automation systems experience, especially Rockwell; GMP and Data Integrity.
  • Experience managing stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and being able to set priorities and manage workload.

Desirable for the role:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5-7 years experience leading a team of engineers in a regulated or cGMP environment.
