Position Summary: The Associate Director, Commercial Analytics closely working with the Neuroscience brand and sales management will design and develop analytic solutions based on business needs to pull through brand strategy and tactics at a sub-national level. This role facilitates understanding of market conditions, customer profiles, brand adoption, and marketing mix at all levels. The individual recommends enhancements to omnichannel execution at an account, HCP, & Integrated Delivery systems level (personal and non-personal) that will enhance brand performance. The individual will derive findings and implications from physician and patient analytics to strengthen commercial understanding of subnational dynamics, performance, and opportunities; and develop fact-based promotional investment strategies to optimize performance. The Associate Director is expected to be hands on analyst and at the same time is a highly effective communicator of results. This role will report into AVP CNS Market Analytics & Business Insights. Major responsibilities: Deliver physician, patient, managed care, competitive and economic insights based on analytics generated by leveraging multiple data sources, including physician and patient level data. Integrate and synthesize information to report subnational insights to internal stakeholders. Improve and increase the effectiveness and/or efficiency of promotional activities through local optimization recommendations. Complete timely evaluation of program impact and response. Make recommendations to enhance and optimize brand performance. Develop near-term KPIs and longer-term ROI measurements that will inform recommendations to optimize personal and non-personal promotional channels at a local/regional level. Leverage custom and syndicated data sets to identify and address key business issues relative to product and indication-level performance ensuring that multiple stakeholder perspectives are considered. Understand sub-national drivers of cross-brand performance, providing more granularity to performance dynamics across distribution channels and customers. Leverage innovative, sophisticated analytic models that address critical issues but also meet key business criteria (e.g. cost, risk, business impact) and key technical criteria (e.g. reliability, validity, and predictability) Lead contract support, and external suppliers to increase and enhance the use of advanced modeling and analytic methods and produce results that fully leverage available data and analytics. Effectively communicate results to customers in an approachable fashion and influence action to improve pull through of insights and brand performance. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following fields: Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, Decision Sciences, Operations Research, Finance, and/or Applied Mathematics. MBA/Masters or PhD is preferred. 8+ years’ progressive business experiences in marketing analytics, database marketing, data engineering and predictive modeling. 8+ years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing information; including use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies. Strong analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving. Advanced understanding of healthcare system, markets and stakeholders, promotion response modeling, sample optimization, test vs control analysis. Advanced knowledge of key pharmaceutical data sources such as Xponent, APLD, LAAD, Plantrak, HCOS and one or multiple analytic domains (sales force analytics, promo optimization, digital, launch support, etc. ). Advanced communication and influencing skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively and to influence in a matrixed organization. Command of the Microsoft software programs (Power-point, Excel, Access). Proficient with programming such as, SAS, R, Python, H20, SQL, Pyspark etc with hands on experience in advanced statistical models.
