Assistant Vice President, Corporate Communications
We are hiring a key member of the corporate communications team. He/she is responsible for developing, driving and ensuring effective execution of communications strategies at HQ & Regional level and to work closely with respective business leaders and communications team on reputation management.
The Assistant Vice President Corporate Communications partners with management and functional heads to proactively promote and enhance the overall reputation of the Shangri-La Group as one of the world’s leading hospitality and real estate companies to key stakeholders as defined in the Group’s strategic business plan.
As an Assistant Vice President, Corporate Communications, we rely on you to:
- Analyse company’s positioning in target markets and to develop and drive integrated strategic comms plans & messages to key stakeholders to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrate ability to dive deep into these segment markets to identify new and creative ways to reach influencing media and share our messages
- Identify and escalate potential public issues that may impact the company’s reputation. Help diffuse rumors, and resolve conflicting messages, provide comms guidance, support and resources to regional/local teams including marketing, sales, legal, HR where necessary
- Develop impactful communications materials and toolkits and provide the necessary comms training to business leaders/Comms practitioners at HQ / region / properties
- Develop annual budget and communications plan and apply expense control and monitoring measures to ensure strict budget adherence, accountability and accuracy
We are looking for someone who:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience
- Experience working in listed company and/or at corporate headquarter level is preferred
- Strong understanding of media relations and crisis management
- Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
- Good understanding of how businesses operate in Asia
