This position provides operational support to the Research Support Services team in the Library. Duties include processing metadata for the Scholarly Publications Database (SPD), recruiting and supervising student helpers, assisting in the logistics and publicity of teaching and training events, documenting operational knowledge and statistics of the team.

Applicants should have at least 5 passes including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A or level 2 if results were obtained from 2007 onwards) and Chinese in the HKCEE; or 5 subjects, including English Language and Chinese Language, attaining level 2 or above (or equivalent) in the HKDSE, plus at least 1 year of post-qualification work experience, preferably in a university library setting. The ideal candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills, working knowledge of and skills in MS Office, a good mastery of MS Excel, good understanding of bibliographic records and metadata, experience in graphic touch-up software with Adobe suite, proactive service attitude, positive learning mindset and ability to work in team as well as independently. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
