Job Posting Details

Public Policy is one of the new strategic areas identified by HKUST for its future development. The Division of Public Policy (PPOL) and the Institute for Public Policy (IPP) were established to spearhead this effort through the development of interdisciplinary policy research and rigorous policy training programs.

The appointee will provide administrative support, primarily for PPOL and its MPhil/PhD programs. The appointee will report to the Head of PPOL to manage the delivery of the General Office management and program activities. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: (a) handling all administrative tasks for the MPhil/PhD programs; (b) assisting the Manager to support the General Office management and operations; (c) providing secretarial support to the Head of PPOL; (d) maintaining and updating websites, social media platforms and databases for PPOL; (e) providing administrative support to the program managers of IPP in organizing events, workshops/conferences; (f) other duties as assigned by the Head of PPOL and the Manager of PPOL.

Applicants should have a recognized bachelor's degree, preferably with 1 to 2 years of post­ qualification work experience. Associate degree holders with relevant work experience are also welcome to apply. Candidates should have good interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to high quality work; and be self-motivated, detail-oriented and well-organized. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database management are required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
