The HKUST Business School has been recognized as a premier education center for international business and management education. The HKUST MBA Program Office is searching for a capable and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Officer. Reporting to the Manager, the appointee will provide administrative and operational support to the MBA program, including but not limited to the following key areas:
- Pre-course support: including classroom booking, purchase of textbooks or other course materials, copyright clearance for cases, preparation of student profiles, working with student helpers for course scheduling and pre-class briefing, setting up online learning platforms for courses with relevant departments.
- Classes and on-site course support: setting-up of equipment or other relevant materials in the classroom according to various requirements from MBA office or instructors, attendance checking upon request, handling examination arrangement, on-site support in classes for specific electives.
- Course exemption: handle tasks related to course exemption and enrolment process for students, and liaise with colleagues on students’ requests in relation to course registration.
- Course scheduling: assist in course scheduling and liaising with vendors or university offices for course arrangement when required.
- Administrative and ad-hoc support: handle daily administrative and documentation work, and provide ad-hoc support as requested.
Applicants should have an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of work experience. The ideal candidate should have a proactive work attitude, a good level of English proficiency, and good interpersonal, communication and administrative skills. Prior experience in faculty or course support in self-financed programs will be an advantage. He/She should be a self-motivated team player with a strong sense of responsibility, be capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Working outside office hours and on occasional weekends will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
