Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Assist in the coordination of daily operational activities in supplier sourcing, fabric development, sample development, costing package preparation.
- Support the Senior Merchandiser or Merchandiser in communication of product requirements to all concerned parties and assists in managing the process to meet expected requirements.
- Assist Senior Merchandiser or Merchandiser to prepare required reports.
- Complete all required documentation, filing work and system data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Arrange sample dispatch to required recipients eg: Buying, Product Development teams and Suppliers
- General administrative work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experienced in the buying /sourcing markets
- Understanding of the local sourcing market and processes
- Has product knowledge / experience
- Good communicator, detail minded. cost conscious
- Is a quick learner
- Is bright, intelligent and analytical
- Is a good team player
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma holder in Fashion & Textiles
- Minimum two years garment merchandising experience
