Job Posting Details

The appointees will coordinate with the Senior Manager (Laboratory) in managing chemistry teaching laboratories. Responsibilities include monitoring/assessing laboratory safety, delivery of laboratory courses, preparation of various experiments, upkeep of laboratory inventories and instruments, training/supervision of teaching assistants and technical staff as well as interaction with students.

Applicants should have a postgraduate degree in chemistry, preferably with post-qualification experience. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in common molecular characterization techniques as well as evidence of advanced training in laboratory safety and handling/disposal of hazardous materials.  Knowledge in internet/computer applications will be an added advantage. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
