Job Description

Job summary: We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Manager for our Project Coordination Department to serve our world-leader customers. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing the Department under the Department Manager; ensuring that the Department performs and excels its KPIs. The successful candidate will interface with the clients and the related internal departments from order entry until delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and implementing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures

  • Overall project management and execution of orders based on technical specifications and commercial contractual requirements

  • Managing commercial and customer aspects of assigned projects, serving as prime interface with customers and project participants, on all contractual matters

  • Supporting the tendering process

  • Reviewing orders from a technical and commercial standpoint during negotiation

  • Execution of orders including scheduling, tracking, shipment, invoicing coordination and fulfillment

  • Close communication and coordination with all related departments to ensure fulfillment, budget and on-time delivery of projects

  • Conducting project turnover/kick-off meetings

  • Visiting clients to accelerate closing topics and to ensure that all project milestones are met on-time

  • Proactive project management by visiting clients periodically to overview the general schedule and taking necessary actions

  • Planning critical path, monitor and control project activities to maximize cash flow

  • Accurately forecasting project revenue, profitability, costs, margins and cash flow

    Requirements:

  • Bachelors or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering fields

  • PM Certificate is a plus

  • Background in a manufacturing environment similar to Cimtas Ningbo with welding and assembly processes is a plus

  • Fluency in English - oral and written

  • 10+ years of experience in related area, including 3+ years of management experience

  • Experience in a multicultural work environment is a plus

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate clear precise communication skills, organizational aptitude, ability to coordinate multiple objectives simultaneously, and is attentive to detail
