The HKUST MBA Programs Office is searching for a capable, friendly and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Manager in the Marketing & Admissions team. Reporting to the Manager, the appointee will take lead in candidate recruitment and provide admissions administrative support to the MBA Programs to attract top MBA candidates globally, with focus in the following key areas:
- Talent Recruitment: Represent the School in events; attract and build connections with high quality potential candidates for the MBA Programs; conduct personal consultations with potential candidates and convert them into applicants.
- Candidates Retention: Yield and retain high quality admitted candidates; act as the dedicated admissions advisor and manage candidates’ expectations during the pre-enrolment stage; guide and assist admitted candidates during the admissions onboarding process.
- Admissions Administration: Handle admissions-related phone/email enquiries; lead the entire admissions process and manage the logistics including handling application documents, arranging application interviews, coordinating with University’s registrar and handling admissions offers.
- Admissions Event Management: Organize and support pre-event and onsite logistics arrangement for various admissions events, such as admissions talks, overseas information sessions, fairs, coffee chats, webinars and campus tours.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate should be adaptive and detail-oriented with good organizational skills. He/She should be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Candidates with prior experience in school admissions are highly preferred. An excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese is a must. Occasional travel and working outside office hours including weekends will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
