The University is looking for a high caliber professional to join our Building Services (Development) Team.
The appointee will provide technical support in managing and planning of building services systems from project inception, design, contract procurement, site execution to handover for new capital, addition and alternation as well as improvement projects to ensure the projects are accomplished on time, within budget, and up to required quality and safety standards.
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
- Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders in accomplishing project objectives;
- Coordinate with the project team to produce preliminary and detailed designs, prepare tender/construction documents, and manage the procurement and construction process;
- Manage the performance of consultants and ensure deliverables are completed on time according to the progress goals throughout the project;
- Review and provide comments on design report submitted by consultants to ensure all project requirements are fully incorporated;
- Assist in managing and overseeing the installation work of building services systems and performance of contractors and sub-contractors;
- Assist in progress, quality and budgetary control; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical/building services engineering or related disciplines plus at least 8 years of relevant experience in electrical design and project management of building and infrastructure development. A good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese as well as AutoCAD application is essential. Member of HKIE, CIBSE, IET or other equivalent professional bodies is an advantage. Solid experience in developing and managing offices, university/institutional buildings, hospitals and laboratories is preferred. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
