The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library
CUHK Library is seeking a dynamic and innovative Librarian to undertake duties related to support services for postgraduate students and programmes. The position will be placed under the Learning Support Division and the appointee will work closely with other Library staff to deliver effective information services as well as providing digital/information literacy training, outreach and support services for our postgraduate students.

Applicants should have (i) a good university degree plus a recognised professional qualification in library and information science or related disciplines; (ii) normally three years of post-qualification relevant experience at a professional or senior paraprofessional level; (iii) sound knowledge and understanding of academic liaison activities and digital/information literacy in a university setting; (iv) knowledge of and experience in delivering programmes and services particularly for users focused around digital/information literacy; (v) demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the Library, with faculty members and university administrative departments; (vi) excellent written and oral communication skills; (vii) expertise in library outreach and marketing; and (vii) proficiency in Chinese language is required.

Reporting to the Head of Learning Services, the appointee will (a) provide support and services to the CUHK postgraduate community, ensuring strong communication between the Library and relevant faculties/departments; (b) create, promote and deliver digital/information literacy training and activities; (c) develop and enhance appropriate engagement activities in conjunction with the Graduate School, Independent Learning Centre (ILC) and Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research (CLEAR) amongst others; and (d) undertake other duties and projects as assigned. Evening and weekend shift work is required.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
