Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department and all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services and protection of the owner's assets
  • Inspect rooms and Public Areas routinely throughout the day
  • Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts; adjust schedules if necessary to meet business demands
  • Be knowledgeable of Hotel information to confidently answer guest inquiries.
  • Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with staff to ensure guest needs are exceeded
  • Handle guest complaints in an expedient and effective manner
  • Establish par levels and monitor stock of all Housekeeping supplies, amenities and equipment. Prepare periodic Consumption Reports
  • Provide training and development opportunities for all Housekeeping department personnel
  • Administer yearly performance evaluations for all Housekeeping Supervisor; provide performance feedback to all staff; handle disciplinary problems and counsel and coach staff when necessary

Job requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in similar capacity in a 5 star luxury Hotel, Resort or Casino environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree from reputable University preferred
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Excellent knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Office, HotSOS and other operating system
