RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead and coordinate key projects in APAC Government Affairs & Comms team to enable business to deliver the Johnson Controls enterprise and APAC regional GA, Comms and business priorities.
  • Areas of work includes but not limit to: government relations, thought leadership projects, JCI enterprise brand, media relations and PR



Government Relations

  • Support the GA team to monitor central and local government policies, regulations
    and provide regular and adhoc key policy analysis and reports that have
    impact on Johnson Controls business and operations in APAC
  • Support the GA team on daily government lianson and communications
  • Logistic coordination of key government interactions including senior visits,
    meetings and high profile JCI participation in government and industry
    forums and summits.
  • Build and update APAC regional government stakeholders mapping

Thought Leadership projects

  • Support Comms team in JCI thought leadership projects including White Papers, key industry forum and expo participation
  • Understand JCI’s business in APAC (country, market, LoB) to effectively coordinate and project manage thought leadership projects and support integrated communication including digital, brand, media and events.

JCI enterprise brand, PR and media engagement

  • Work closely with global Comms and regional Marketing teams to implement JCI enterprise branding activities in the APAC region
  • Support Comms team and the LoB teams in media relations, coverage monitoring, press releases, press conferences and crisis management



QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Mass Communications or Advertising and Marketing
  • Relevant working experience of 4-5 years
  • Excellent written and verbal communications in English.
  • Understand how the government work with good exposure to government relations
  • Understand how media work with good experience in media relations
  • Strong project management skill and process management capabilities, with drive to constantly improve through gathering feedback and measuring outcomes.



Preferred

  • Agency experience preferred
  • A strong project management track-record
  • Confidence and maturity in managing complex projects, working across teams and across cultures.
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical; able to navigate ambiguity and fast-changing environments effectively.
  • Good sense of aesthetics
  • Good English and Chinese business writing skills.
  • Good with government and media relations
  • Flexible and resourceful
