Job description:

This individual will be a part of the International Digital Operations team to help build and grow our business in Asia. The primary areas of focus will be to assist with our Tmall store front, help with auditing and reporting on our Tmall site to ensure they are performing to expectations, and to discover & launch new initiatives. This includes helping us understand what customer expectations are in China through patterning, industry publications, and/or analytics from our own tool sets. When needed, some assistance with oversight and/or feedback on updates to our store front (product and content), store enhancements / optimization, execution of promotions, providing necessary reports, resolving issues, etc. Success in this role will be highly dependent upon building and maintaining exceptional relationships with internal and external teams in both China and the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Help build out key initiatives (small to large) from the ground up through patterning, reporting, insights, requirements and implementation.
  • Work with Shanghai team members to help guide, develop and report on marketing campaigns for Tmall site.
  • Building out standardized and ad hoc reports to help the team and broader business understand performance of various aspects of the site.
  • Work with 3rd party service provider to feedback on translated messaging prior to publishing and perform light auditing of Tmall, typically focused on large seasonal changes or bigger events
  • Keep an eye open for product trends in China market and gather in market information on merchandise assortments for China when needed.
  • Focus on innovative solutions that solve a problem and allow us to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Perform ongoing research leveraging various sources (Customer Service, Online Resources, Patterning, vendors, industry contacts, etc.) to stay abreast of trends, best practices, and opportunities
  • Research customer complaints coming from the Government or escalated from Tmall/3rd party service provider, reporting the key points to SH teams and Home office. Develop effective process to work with Home office CS team.
  • Manage and maintain DTC operation finance needs
  • Coordinate and support communication for IT stuff related DTC/Tmall business

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent required
  • Fluency in Chinese and English required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, expert in excel and experience with analytics
  • eCommerce experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills with a curious, analytical mindset and aptitude for problem solving
  • Self-motivated with a sense of ownership, a willingness to learn, and a strong desire to succeed
  • Must balance competing priorities and demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision

Some travel may be required (internationally and within China)
