Job Description

Job Summary:

1. B.S degree or above

2. Knowing the Chinese Pharmaceutical Industry very well, cGMP minded;

3. English: CET 6 or above, spoken English is mandatory

4. Honest, reliable, problem solving


Job Responsibility:

1. Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.

2. Support the execution of sourcing plans that will result in cost savings/greater efficiencies/economies of scale/higher quality products.

3. Gather existing supplier contracts for review and provide basic input on supplier performance. Support the contract renewal/discontinuation process as part of contract management.

4. Conduct general market research on various product categories/specifications and research on potential suppliers who can meet the various business requirements.

5. Gather inputs from internal stakeholders on their requirements/specifications to better understand their needs.

6. Provide administrative support on the overall supplier tender process, evaluation and shortlisting activities including supplier audits/visits, product sampling, etc. to ensure compliance to specific standards (e.g. ISO) and manufacturing practices.

7. Gather and compile sourcing results, including organizing data for presentation to management.

8. Provide administrative support to the contract negotiation process in order to ensure smooth running of negotiation meetings/activities, etc.

9. Compile information and coordinate administrative activities related to claims to support Quality Assurance, Legal and management in minimizing liabilities and financial exposure.

10. Respond to basic queries and requests from internal stakeholders related to sourcing plans/progress as part of stakeholder management.

11. Support the building of new business relationships with potential suppliers related to product areas relevant to the business.


Job Requirement:

1. Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the business and pharmaceutical and chemcial industry

2. Demonstrate basic knowledge and hands-on experience in sourcing/contract management/vendor management

3. Demonstrate basic knowledge in cGMP, manufacturing best practices (e.g. good manufacturing practices according to WHO, EU, etc.) and safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements (e.g. dangerous goods regulations and classifications, etc.)

4. Demonstrate basic research and analytical skills

5. Demonstrate fluency in local language and English, CET 6 or above, both spoken and written English are mandatory

6. Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions

7. Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
