Reporting to the Chief Executive of the HKADC, the Arts Space, Research and Development Director (ASRDD) is to direct and manage the implementation and on-going development of the Arts Spaces and the Arts Information Centre of the Council. He/She is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring projects related to the development of arts spaces including liaison with stakeholders like artists/arts groups, property owners and government departments, engagement of professional consultants and overseeing renovation/refurbishment of designated premises. He/She will also be the leader of the Research & Development Team, directing and supervising staff on initiating, implementing and monitoring research and archival projects as well as steering and facilitating the implementation of internship/scholarship projects.
Requirements:
- University degree with at least 10 years post qualification experience in arts administration, project management or equivalent;
- Experience in facilities/property management and tenancy management;
- Familiarity of stakeholder engagement, tender and quotation exercises, government procedures in relation to theatre, property and tenancy management. Ability and experience in promoting cooperative and collaborative synergies with consultants and other stakeholders in facility development will be an added advantage;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese;
- Experience in Committee work of government/public organisations will be an advantage.
