Job Description

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is a statutory body set up to promote the development of arts in Hong Kong. According to the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Ordinance, the Chief Executive may appoint up to 10 persons nominated by the specified arts interests to be members of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. The current term of office of the HKADC members will expire on 31 December 2019. The HKADC is now conducting an exercise for nominating representatives of the ten specified arts interests (Nomination Exercise) for the HKADC for the next term commencing on 1 January 2020.

Reporting to the Arts Development Director and Arts Development Senior Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the HKADC Nomination Exercise and keeping a smooth running of the Exercise. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Managing budget

  • Assisting in venue booking, logistics and administrative support to events related to Nomination Exercise

  • Assisting in the preparation and conduction of the Nomination Exercise and voter registration

  • Drafting correspondences, reports, discussion papers and minutes

  • Attending meetings related to Nomination Exercise

  • Providing administrative support to the Council

  • Performing duties outside the administration office of the Council as required

  • Undertaking any other duties as assigned

  • Perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays may be required



    Requirements:

  • University degree with at least 4 years full-time working experience. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Arts Development Officer

  • Good communication and writing skills in both Chinese and English

  • Proficiency in PC operations (MS Office applications and Chinese Word Processing)

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle numerical data

  • Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, detail-oriented and well-organized

  • Knowledge and interest in arts will be an advantage


    Successful candidate will be offered a 12-month contract. Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
