The Oracle Construction & Engineering Global Business Unit (CEGBU) provides the industry’s leading solutions for planning, building and operating assets.
The purpose of an Account Executive is to promote and sell the Oracle CEGBU’s solutions. You will be required to undertake the full range of business development activities including;
- Pipeline development,
- Opportunity management,
- Negotiation across a range of accounts,
- And work freely in a strategic fashion to do so at all levels of our customers’ organisations.
We are looking for an experienced Account Executive who demonstrates mastery of Software Sales (an emphasis on SaaS is a distinct advantage) with a proven track record over 3-5 years working deals of all sizes, with demonstrable success in both managing and pursing all levels of accounts, but up to the task of a consistently high level of activity to drive run rate business, as you build larger enterprise deals over time. It is expected you innately focus on value selling methodologies.
You will have the ability to identify and set goals and plans for securing new clients.

Here are some essential requirements:
- Consistently met and exceed sales targets (solid career track record in sales – demonstrable evidence of exceeding targets consistently)
- Expert in value selling methodologies
- Prospecting and networking – able to use referrals and contacts to build networks, can engage prospects in discussion naturally; comfortable cold calling and can build rapport in any circumstance, proven track record in generating own leads and working with business / sales development teams

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).
Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years field sales experience with focus on large strategic accounts including applications sales experience. Highly developed selling, customer relations and negotiation skills. Successful sales track record. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player. Ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
