General Description
Administrative Manager of the Student Management Centre will roll out a variety of administrative responsibilities within the Centre. The position holder is expected to collaborate closely with colleagues across SACDO and SAO.
The candidate would be expected to be proactive and reflective, detail and deadline oriented, capable of process improvement and has strong networking skills to connect internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibility and Accountability
- Collaborate closely with all teams of SAO and SACDO to support the routine work of the Student Management Centre.
- Assist the Deputy Head of the Centre with scheduling meetings, travel plans, billing, etc.
- Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
- Completes special projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements; planning, arranging, and meeting schedules; monitoring results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; benchmarking professional standards; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Ensure contracts, procurement requirements, and safety standards are followed properly.
- Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Position Qualification Requirement
Skills and Knowledge
- Polished communications skills – both verbal and written in English and Chinese.
- Attention to details in working on reports and correspondence including accurate typing and proof reading skills.
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people, to work as part of a team, and to liaise with colleagues where work interests overlap.
- Ability to prioritize and organize duties in an efficient manner.
- Multi-tasking skills and Great planning skills.
- Dependability, reliability and ability to produce work of high quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in English, literature, or education related is preferred;
- At least 4 years’ working experience in related fields;
- Deep understanding of transnational education;
- Oversea education background and work experience in higher education are preferred.
