Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with QA/QC processes through weekly on-site factory quality inspections, particularly new product startups.
  • Drive home quality standards with vendors.
  • Ensure proper processes are in place to support product development and quality control.
  • Assess organizational effectiveness. Facilitate or develop necessary programs resulting in improved employee performance and depth of talent. Implement best practices.
  • Manage and direct all operational functions.
  • Ensure legal and financial regulatory compliance. Coordinate efforts and implement action plans for improvement if needed.
  • Recruit staff as necessary, including orientation and training.
  • Create and implement as needed local accounting systems and interface with Finance Department in US.
  • Coordinate financial reports between local and corporate offices. Review Monthly expenses against budget.
  • Declare company tax, IIT for chief of the delegates, and currency declarations.
  • Liaising with outsourced services in HR, Accounting, Tax Bureau, Travel and IT
  • Manage company facilities and office registration.
  • Assist in managing payroll and employee benefits
  • Responsible for office annual inspection and annual audit.
  • Coordinate company events, book hotels and flights
  • Procure and manage all office equipment (copiers, printers, phone, computer etc.) as well as office supplies.

17. Negotiate with suppliers, sourcing, IT and equipment.

18. Continually review Asia cost structure and recommend ways to maximize ROI.

19. Provide transparency between US and Asia offices for all communications and processes.

20. Ensure C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) compliance.

21. Provide support, guidance, coaching and mentoring to team including regular team and individual meetings.

22. Responsible for office relocation as needed to ensure proper policy implementation, cost control and excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to responsibilities
  • Expertise in areas of quality assurance and control, employee relations, team building, performance management, talent acquisition, change management, organizational effectiveness and growth, leadership development and diversity.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of legal, financial and accounting functions.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization and prioritization, attention to detail, follow up and follow through.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Mandarin
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines. Possess energetic, ethical, honest, proactive approach to work and team.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & PDF).
  • Ability to travel 2-3 days most weeks.
