Job Description

The Application Engineering Lead will be acting as the technical lead of all IT solutions within the APAC region under the CT Tax portfolio. The role requires solid technical knowledge in the area of software development, system integration team leading skills.  Working in a highly projectized and dynamic environment, this person will be planning, designing and implementing solution with developers, project stakeholder and liaise with external contractors/vendors. 

 
Responsibilities:
  • Be the go-to person / single point of contact for any matters related to people / delivery in Application engineering in APAC region.
  • Understand the business requirements maintain good relationship with project stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, solution architect, development team, and business analysts to help prioritize stories and build technical requirements.
  • Provide solution design and effort estimation on the application development
  • Lead multiple projects at once and provide development resource allocation based on the overall demand of the portfolio.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving skills needed to manage multiple factors on the development process simultaneously
  • Proactively identify risks and issues to the project team during the development process.
  • Provide support and guidance to development resources during project implementation.  Provide regular reporting to project team.
  • Monitors and manages the development process to ensure activities are occurring as planned – within scope and schedule
  • Participate in brainstorming and evaluating new technologies.  Assist project team on selecting and implementing most appropriate solution.
  • Oversight all the information security activities within the portfolio and provide technical advice on the approach and identify the potential solutions needed.
  • Develop quickly and with high quality via sprints under the Agile methodology
Skills Requirements
  • Proven experience managing software development team in an agile environment.

  • Working knowledge on developing application with technologies including:

    • UI Development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript

    • C#, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, Entity Framework, PowerBI

    • T-SQL and Microsoft SQL databases

    • Hands on experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server

    • Experience with AngularJS, bootstrap and Telerik/Kendo UI would be an asset

    • Basic knowledge on Mobile Application development, cross platform and native like Xamarin, iOS and Android.

  • Knowledge of Agile and experience in Scrum would be an asset.

  • Experience in managing development team using Agile is advantageous.

  • Strong team working skills across matrixed client, vendors, contractors and geographically dispersed virtual teams

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing

  • Operate with minimal supervision
