Summary:
Managing AHF China’s advocacy and marketing work with support to country project objectives and Global advocacy & Marketing priorities. Collaborating with multi- partners (stakeholders) internally and externally, driving integrated resources to create China advocacy and marketing strategy and plan, and lead the execution accordingly for the purpose of making sure the organization’s mission and best practice can be well received and resonated in China, hence affect the related policy change and benefits HIV affected individuals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
l Creating the annual country advocacy and marketing plan and budget, with consideration of direct reflection of designed global advocacy and marketing goals and country project objectives, including campaigns and regular activities to support treatment & care, prevention & testing, brand level communication, and key events.
l Coordinating with all site partners to plan and implement site event and activities to ensure all are aligned with country objectives and implemented in cost effective manner and receive the best impact.
l Closely work with project team to design and implement marketing campaign to support treatment & care, prevention & testing projects in achieving their target.
l Building and maintaining the AHF China online (and social media) communication platform, including official website, official video platform, AHF1987 wechat public account, HIV testing website, Weibo, and etc.
l Design and implement campaign to expend AHF China’s target audience reach, especially youth\MSM\Sex workers\HIV+ groups, with particular focus on condom promotion, Rapid testing, and youth wellness center project.
l Managing Media relations via establishing media alliance, regular communication, and other means to ensure AHF China’s principal and best practiced can be well spreading out among target audience in positive tone.
l Coordinating with site partners to create and maintain the AHF China profile and promotional materials to ensure they are up to date and in line with AHF brand VI system. (likely: billboard, indoor & outdoor signboard, banner, poster, leaflet, calendar, directory book, planner, T-shirt, and other IEC materials…etc).
l Plan and implement AHF China key events, including International Condom Day, Chinese Valentine's Day, University Promotion, International Day of the Girl Child, International Women's Day, World Tuberculosis Day, 526 International Anti-discrimination Lunch Day, and 121 World AIDS Day, for media coordination, creative content design, press release writing and distribution, video production, and etc.
l Plan and implement the AHF China related advertising placement, including digital, outdoor, print, online live-broadcasting, and TV if needed.
l Maintain close communication with AHF Global Team, Public Relation team and country program team for regular program update and report, also to ensure AHF China’s advocacy and marketing outputs are in line with the branding and Global request.
l Establish and maintain partnership with NGO's, CBOs, Civil leaders, AIDS control program, National Centre for HIV/AIDS, PLHA Groups, key stakeholders and other relevant institutions for advocacy and marketing purpose.
l Work in close collaboration with AHF prevention unit, treatment and care unit to ensure advocacy and marketing respond to their need.
l Conducts assessment marketing field visit to AHF China sites from provincial to community level.
l Advocate AHF perspective on HIV/AIDS related policy, Laws and regulation in China.
l Organize training & meeting regarding to Advocacy & Marketing and events in China.
l Celebrity ambassador management.
? Represents AHF for the meeting, conference and other event, from the national to community level as assigned.
? Participates in conference call with Global Team, regarding to the Project plan and budget plan. Work closely with Advocacy & Marketing Global Team and Deputy Asia Bureau Chief–AHF and Asia Bureau.
? Participates in review and development of training manuals, protocols and operational procedures for HlV Testing and Prevention Initiatives.
? Participates in resource mobilization and acquisition for the project.
? Regular reporting to Deputy Asia Bureau Chief–AHF
? Performs other duties as assigned by Deputy Asia Bureau Chief–AHF.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the AHF's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include participation in orientation and leading event campaign, marketing propaganda and directing work.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum qualification of Master (marketing, medicine) or equivalent; and more than 12 years of marketing/advocacy related experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to develop and convey strategies, policies, and action plans.
- Proven ability to coordinate internally within an organization and externally with stakeholders to deliver advocacy and marketing campaigns.
- Well-developed networking and influencing abilities to leverage relationships within and outside of the organization.
- Ability and confidence to interface well with and build relationships with senior policy influencers.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills.
- Previous involvement and success in influencing policy and strong knowledge of the process.
- Experience in using the range of possible advocacy tools available to influence key targets, and their applicability in a complex situation.
- Proven commercial acumen together with excellent negotiating and networking skills.
? Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software;
? Proficiency with internet search and electronic mail use;
? Ability to effectively present information in both written and oral forms.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
? Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, draw and interpret graphs.
Language Skills:- Fluency in English reading, writing and spoken
- Capable of using English as the working language at all business occasions.
Travel nationally and internationally. Must possess a valid passport. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and related medical and patient care issues and concerns in diverse populations strongly preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
