Overview
AIG intends to build integrated solutions for our customers and partners, and to participate in the digital economy. We seek a digital product leader with a deep understanding and broad practical experience in innovative end-to-end digital enablement inclusive of: digital marketing, digital sales platforms and tools, website design, development and optimization. This role will drive top and bottom line growth by delivering digital experience and engagement practices across a full range of products, services and partner relationships that drive sales and build a sustainable customer base.
The Digital Product Manager will require experience in direct customer acquisition and engagement strategies and execution across a range of traditional and new technologies including but not limited to: social media services, content hubs, integrated digital partnerships and market leading customer experiences. She or he will be skilled in stakeholder management, the direction of cross-functional teams, and the development and maintenance of partner relationships in a challenging environment. He or she will work with internal stakeholders, Technology and Operations teams, strategic external partners and vendors to manage and optimize target business outcomes from inception through to launch.
The focus of this role will be on sales from partner and propriatery digital platforms and associated sites. The emphasis will be on A&H products, but coverage from other lines of business can be considered to create compelling customer propositions. In addition, the role will be responsible for the profitability of digitally distributed business at the product, campaign and channel level. Key metrics will include gross written premium, policy sales, acquisition and loss ratios, spending variances and the number of partners, programs and partners launched.
Job Responsibilities
Identify, prospect and acquire partners through disciplined consultative sales process
Lead cross functional and multi-line business development efforts
Formally target and prioritize prospective partners: retail banking, cards, MNOs, utilities, telcos, retailing and marketplace platforms, gig economy operators
Use flexible methods to surface customer needs and posit value propositions
Organize joint customer workshops with prospective partners
Direct internal and external resources to design and prototype customer solutions
Work with product line and general management to negotiate partner agreements
Design, build and revise digital products – a combination of coverage, service, process and front-end user experience- to drive purchase and retention
Supervise or act as Product Manager – the “mini-CEO”
Lead cross functional teams: underwriter/actuary, analytics, UX/UI design, Tech team, Legacy IT
Drive agile product development with aim to launch and learn from MVPs
Simplify products with insurance experts to improve customer experience
Decompose products to more easily fit into partner businesses and customer journeys
Invent features to drive customer understanding and purchase (eg coverage calculator, what-if models)
Work with agile and legacy IT teams to build and deploy product
Design, create and revise campaigns to drive purchase, influence mix and minimize acquisition costs
Work with cross functional team: marketer, analytics, creative, media
Establish iterative, rapid cycle campaign calendar
Use test n learn approach with champion/challenger campaigns
Acquire appropriate tools for content management, targeting, campaign execution, attribution
Direct external agencies or in-house staff to develop and deploy creative and content
Monitor campaign results to optimize programs
Meet financial and operating targets
GWP production
Loss ratio, acquisition ratio, development budgets
Spending levels, campaign effectiveness, IRR, TMC, CPP

Job Requirements
Minimum 4 years work experience as a digital product manager, inclusive of working in a start-up business environment or on an innovation/digital team, performing user insights and testing, or digital product design
Demonstrated understanding of product lifecycle
Strong experience with user experience strategy and design
In-depth knowledge of Agile methodology for product development
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software
development and web technologiesStrong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to absorb large amounts of
internal and external data and translate into actionable information to make effective business decisionsStrong interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of influencing and building consensus at
all levels of the organizationPushes the organization to constantly improve, shows opportunities, and stimulates out-of-the-
box thinkingStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
MBA or certifications in digital marketing or product development technologies a strong plus
