POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

This position is expected to assist GM for managing and supervising the operations in Chengdu Air & Gas Products Company ASU & HYCO to facilitate the attainment of an acceptable APCI standards and global best practices for operational policies and practices, ensure EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services.

Nature and Scope

The jobholder together with GM is accountable to build the plant technical capability through support coordination from APCI & China Plant Ops team, leading the initiative to identify, train and develop the production leadership team in CAPC. Also participates in new project development including helping identify new business expansion opportunities.

The position has the accountability to build strong relation with both partner to reach win-win operating result

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Closely interface with both partner, meet JV partner’s high level people on a routine basis, maintain close relation with partner/local government, build win-win result & maintain effective relationship.

• Facilitate the use of and compliance to AP EH&S standards in CAPC such that EH&S performance continually improves and performance goals are met or exceeded. Ultimate result desire zero injuries.

• Ensure Manufacturing products that continually exceed or meet all product Quality Specifications and in accordance with ISO9001:2000 system requirements.

• Facilitate attainment of operations excellence and customer satisfaction via operations productivity, reliability, quality, cost reduction, services, continuous improvements, and meeting of budgets.

• Coach, Train and Develop top performing operating people who are competent in Operation, achieve success through teams, trustworthy, customer and employee focused, openly communicate, performance driven and result oriented.

• Achieve manufacturing excellence through effective cost management. Minimize manufacturing costs commensurate with safe operation, environmental control and plant reliability.

• Foster and support strong working relationships at all levels with major customers to ensure proper execution of business contracts and effective on-going supply of products and services. Lead routine communications and periodic meetings concerning customer interface activities.

• Be the primary liaison within the community through active involvement in various groups and activities.

• Representing CAPC on related issues with customer and government people, coordinate internal resources to provide timely feedback and maintain corporate image.
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated managerial, leadership and well developed interpersonal skills.

• A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity.

• Ability to interface with senior customer representatives and community leaders.

• 10-15 years experience in industry gases or petrochemical industry or other process industry.

• Sound administrative and management skills.

• Participative management style and team oriented.

• A demonstrated commitment to asset management programs.

• University degree (Business or Technical discipline preferred), MBA is desired.
