Job Description

Position Summary:

The 4PL Global Origin Service Manager leads a team of Operational Key Account Managers to ensure a smooth on-the-ground collaboration of origin related activities which involve carriers, 2PLs, vendors and local customer stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary and escalation point of 4PL origin management contact for customer;
  • Maintain and drive the overall in-country operation strategies;
  • Suggest and participate in continuous improvement projects related to origin operations activities;
  • Review and monitor relevant KPI results and auditing for and on behalf of customer;
  • Provide operational management support, advice and expertise to the operational key account team in accordance with KPI and objectives, company procedures, SOP, infrastructure of subcontractors etc.;
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to customer
  • Drive for highest quality of operation service excellence, productivity, security measure and compliance and potential cost reduction in the operation

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 10 years of operational working experience in global forwarding / logistics company;
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in CFS Warehousing Operation, contract logistics and related matters;
  • Solid knowledge of ocean freight, air freight and trucking operation is a MUST
  • Strong exposure and knowledge on 3PL and Order/Freight Management operations; 
  • Experience in Buyers Consolidation Operations services is preferred;
  • Experience in serving global customer in retail sector is recommended.
