Amgen Research Copenhagen is dedicated to the identification and development of novel drug programs addressing unmet medical needs with a main disease focus on Inflammation and Oncology. We currently run more than 15 small molecule discovery programs in our pipeline.

Amgen Research Copenhagen is currently seeking candidates for a Team Lead position. The main purpose of the job is to ensure efficient functioning of our student group. The ~15 student assistants support us with various basic lab functions in chemistry and biology. You will be leading the planning and coordinating of their work. The position reports to Lead in Automation, Analytics and Facilities at Amgen Research Copenhagen office is located at Rønnegade 8, Copenhagen Ø.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of student workers

• Compound management/logistics/responsible role implementing automated storage system at ARC  

• Implementation and administration of Mosaic at ARC in close collaboration with colleagues globally

• Working closely together with the database development team

• Ensuring efficient coordination with various teams in Amgen in-house as well as other Amgen sites

• Student recruitment

• Participating in maintenance and support functions for various instruments: NMR, LS-MS systems, Liquid handling robots

• Various troubleshooting tasks related to warehouse logistics and lab managing

What we look for:

The ideal candidate should:

• hold a M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or related discipline, Biochemistry, Biotechnology with an understanding of organic chemistry as well as an insight in molecular biology

• have laboratory work experience from biotechnology industry or academia

• have experience or interest in managing a team

• have good knowledge of workflow coordination between various teams

• have high energy and logistics mindset combined with problem solving capacity

• proficiency in English and Danish
