Lombardi restaurant at Hotel St Moritz, is a greatly admired eatery for locals and visitors alike. A refreshing departure from a ‘Hotel Restaurant’, this award-winning establishment offers global opportunity within the boutique MGALLERY Hotel Collection.
In this role you’ll take on a leadership position within our kitchen team, and work alongside industry leading chefs who share your passion for great food.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present Lombardi’s seasonal a la carte dining menus
- Deliver cuisine to special events in our five star hotel
- Share creative input for menu development
- Train and on-board new team members
- Monitor portion and waste control
- Exercise the highest food safety and hygiene standards
Work Experience
- Qualified with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a 5 star/upscale establishment advantageous
- Have a high standard in food presentation
- Be able to demonstrate creativity and flair in menu development
- Be able to use leadership skills to maintain an effective work group, in a professional atmosphere
- Understanding of NZ food safety requirements
- Organise time and work efficiently
- Have effective verbal communication skills
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand
