Lombardi restaurant at Hotel St Moritz, is a greatly admired eatery for locals and visitors alike. A refreshing departure from a ‘Hotel Restaurant’, this award-winning establishment offers global opportunity within the boutique MGALLERY Hotel Collection.

In this role you’ll take on a leadership position within our kitchen team, and work alongside industry leading chefs who share your passion for great food.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook and present Lombardi’s seasonal a la carte dining menus
  • Deliver cuisine to special events in our five star hotel
  • Share creative input for menu development
  • Train and on-board new team members
  • Monitor portion and waste control
  • Exercise the highest food safety and hygiene standards



Work Experience
  • Qualified with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in a 5 star/upscale establishment advantageous
  • Have a high standard in food presentation
  • Be able to demonstrate creativity and flair in menu development
  • Be able to use leadership skills to maintain an effective work group, in a professional atmosphere
  • Understanding of NZ food safety requirements
  • Organise time and work efficiently
  • Have effective verbal communication skills
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand
