As an R&D Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in motor and generator new product development project as a lead engineer, in Motion Business Area, in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will be responsible of mechanical drawings inspection and technical document inspection.

Your responsibilities

• Participating in motor and generator new product development project as a lead engineer
• Being responsible of technical solution
• Leading design review, manufacturability review, DFMEA
• Assisting project manager to evaluate and mitigate technical risks
• Being responsible of mechanical drawings inspection and technical document inspection
• Assisting project manager to hand over project deliverables
• Providing technical support to Production Units, Supply Chain Management, and Service

Your background

• Having lead engineer experience of at least one motor and generator development project. Expert in mechanical design
• Extensive R&D or engineering experience in motor and generators, especially high voltage motor and generator
• Being familiar with production process of electric machines and key components. 6 sigma knowledge and experience are preferred
• A bachelor’s degree and above in Mechanical Design
• Good communication and teamwork skills, willingness and capability to learn
• Strong experience as user of 3D system in particular using NX
• Fluency in written and spoken English
