Job Responsibilities:

·        You will be responsible for maintaining x86 based systems, providing technical solutions for resolving system issues in a timely manner, managing and monitoring the systems and infrastructure to ensure the high level of availability.

·        You will be able to identify areas that need improvements or overhauls and implement these changes. They will need to be skilled in assessment techniques and have the ability to design and install any necessary upgrades to the system.

·        You will work closely with other system engineers, developers and data analysts to develop and implement new solutions to address our evolving performance and efficiency requirements.

·        You will act as a project manager to engineer mission-focused IT projects that incorporate both existing infrastructure and new system technologies, and work with internal engineers as well as external service providers to find the best solutions to meet the business requirements.

·        You will assist other IT team members on the following areas: UNIX/Linux administration, IT Room management, Oracle database administration, IBM Middleware (WebSphere Application Server, MQ, CICS) management, etc.

·        You will be able to document system configurations, updates they make to a system and any new procedures or policies created in their work. Be available for other engineers and coach them to resolution.

Technical Skills and Qualification:

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field

·        At least four years of systems administration and engineering experience

·        Working knowledge of Lenovo Server Hardware, SAN Storage and Virtualization Technologies (VMWare vSphere and Hyper - V).

·        Good Experienced in implementing, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Server Technologies, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, SCCM & SCOM and Exchange.

·        Proficiency in backup and replication technologies such as Veeam and IBM PPRC.

·        Experience in Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle Database administration would be an advantage

·        Programming skills in Microsoft PowerShell script or other programming languages would be an advantage

·        Good accurate records keeping.

·        Fluent English language skill is a must, and Chinese will be considered as an asset.
