For Amgen Research Copenhagen we are looking for a Research Assistant for a 12 month maternity cover to work in the Parallel Chemistry group. You will be part of Amgen’s multiple drug discovery teams taking projects from hit discovery through lead optimization to candidate selection.

Responsibilities:

• Main responsible for purification of several hundreds of compounds per week using our Shimadzu uHPLC instrument
• Record and interpret analytical data using LabSolutions and MassHunter
• Individual structuring and planning of work assignments
• Assist with synthesis of multiple small molecules in parallel using a unique platform for micromole scale solid-phase organic synthesis (SPOS) and solution-phase chemistry
• Communicate and collaborate actively with other scientists, both chemists and biologist, in English, in order to reach company goals

We are looking for…

The successful candidate has a theoretical and experimental organic chemistry background. He/she is structured and diligent in their work, knows the importance of precision in following lab protocols and can take ownership of their work. The person will communicate and collaborate actively with scientists, both within chemistry and biology as well as with the student group. Any experience working with analysis of large amounts of analytical data, such as HPLC/MS, UV, and CLND as well as automatization of processes is a clear advantage. Likewise, good IT skills, especially within excel, are favored.
