As a Low Voltage Motor Technical Designer, you will be responsible for Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, motor component design, prototype production support, engineering change tracking according to traction motor project delivery schedule, in Motion Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager II, you will be responsible for product design and maintenance, optimizing designs to provide product quality and cost.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, motor component design, prototype production support, engineering change tracking according to traction motor project delivery schedule
• Being responsible for PMSM & Induction motor mechanical design and technical support for pre-sales traction motor projects

• Being responsible for product design and maintenance, optimizing designs to provide product quality and cost
• Calculating FEM for structure strength validation

Your background

• 5 years of mechanical design background in the motor industry. Traction motor design experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of Solid works, NX or other 3D software.
• A bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical engineering or similar
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and good spoken and written English
• Proactive, positive and able to work independently
