As a Technical Sales Specialist you will be responsible for creating and completing bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company, in Electrification Business Area in Guangzhou, China.

Reporting to the Technical Sales Support Manager, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs Ensuring a positive customer experiences throughout the sales process
  • Formulating competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.
  • Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of details, including full and accurate costs
  • Planning bid/estimate/quotation, ensuring that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures
  • Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates in any related contract agreements across customers/channels
  • Providing information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy
  • Being responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements

Your background

  • 2 years of sales working experience in related field
  • Knowledge on MV Switchgear’s products and market
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business model (purchasing behaviours)
  • Sound computer knowledge, good command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required
  • Outstanding communication in English and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good teamwork spirit
