You will be responsible for the operation of the whole plant, including Safety, Quality, P&F, Production, AME, Maintenance and CI, and responsible for the plant investment and cost control. You will also make sure safety, ensure a high-level customer OTD with optimal quality and production cost. Improve productivity, FPY and ITO, reduce Field PPM and operation cost based on Lean 6sigma promotion. Buildup continuous improvement culture and drive for operation excellence. As an Operations Manager you will be reporting to Local Division Manager in Business Area – Motion, Motors & Generators located in Shanghai, China.
Your responsibilities
- Ensuring achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focusing on achievement of operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery (ROTD), productivity and cost reduction.
- Leading and managing Plant operation teams and processes. Implementing localization plan. Improving manufacturing technology and competence in line with global/local division strategy.
- Executing business Quality strategy. Driving quality improvement through target setting, monitoring and benchmarking to continuously improve processes. Executing quality management for monitoring and validating day to day control of processes. Ensuring manufacturing operations are in compliance with applicable standards. Driving continued improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
- Delivering operational/project targets (e.g. ROTD, lead time, quality, etc.) to improve net promoter score (NPS). Ensuring that manufacturing resources implement improvements that address issues identified through Customer Complaint Resolution Process (CCRP), Internal Transactional Partnership Survey (ITPS), Top 5 Quality Initiatives (T5QI) and other voice of the customer initiatives.
- Implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the plants. Ensuring a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance.
- Being responsible for plant total cost control (VS revenue) and plant personnel cost control (VS revenue) and for investment plan and ROCE improvement.
- Being responsible for people development in plant.

Your background
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or above with major in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equal.
- Minimum 5 years experiences in engineering, planning, manufacturing management experiences.
- Professional experiences in electrical machine or related industry, motor industrial experiences would be a plus with solid knowledge in lean and continuous improvement.
- Must be proficient in Mandarin, English (fluent oral, written).
- Must exhibit personality traits like outstanding leadership; strong communication skills and good teamwork spirit; quick learning skills; willing to face challenge and drive changing; customer-oriented, strategy-oriented and results-oriented; pay attention to the development of personnel and being reliable.
