Job Description

Housekeeping Supervisor

 

To carry out all cleaning duties and lead the housekeeping team to the Ibis Styles quality standards. To ensure guests are made as comfortable and welcome as possible.

What you will be doing: 

 

  • Clean and service all rooms to the ibis Styles quality standards.
  • Communicate with guests in a friendly manner and when appropriate.
  • Ensure public areas are kept to the ibis Styles Sharjah quality standards.
  • Keep all trolleys and linen rooms well stocked for the next session.
  • Ensure linen is received, checked and discrepancies identified and reported.
  • Report any maintenance requirements to the appropriate person.
  • Ensure guests’ personal property is dealt with in line with ibis Styles Sharjah procedures.
  • Live and communicate the ibis Styles sweet bed guarantee; ensuring guest complaints are dealt with and recorded according to ibis Styles Sharjah standards.
  • Ensure health & safety, fire & security procedures, legal and policy procedures are adhered to at all times.
 
  • Assist and support the development of new team members through on job training.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency through teamwork is achieved at all times.

 

 

Professional Techniques / Production

 

  • To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees through Multi Skilling, Multi-Tasking and   flexible scheduling and by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
    Helps keep the equipment used in good condition

 

 

  Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment

  • Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture such as computer, calculators, general office equipment assigned to you and to associates reporting to you
  • Be well familiar with hotel’s policies and procedures; well acquainted with the physical layout of the Hotel and should acquire a sound knowledge in hotel’s emergency procedures in regard to fire, medical, bomb threats, blackout and evacuation
  • Wear appropriate business attire (as per Hotel policy) and ensure a proper appearance so as to represent the hotel in the best way

 

  • The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by Heartists holding this job title. Additional to the above-mentioned requirements a Heartist will at times be expected to perform tasks and duties outside of his/her scope of work as necessitated by work demand.
