THE JOB

Reporting to the Sports Medicine Manager, the Nurse will be responsible for the following duties:

• To assist clinic doctor in medical consultation and performing clinical procedures
• To provide quality nursing care to scholarship athletes: first aid treatment, clinical nursing care, wound management and vaccinations;
• To deliver administration work of the Hong Kong Sports Institute Clinic;
• To assist clinic doctor in medical screening; and
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse (Hong Kong Nursing Council) with a valid practising certificate;
• Minimum 5 years post-registration clinical experience for Registered Nurse; Minimum of 8 years post-registration clinical experience for Enrolled Nurse is preferred;
• Sports medicine experience (including athletes’ health care, sports related wound management) is an advantage;
• Knowledge of World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) anti-doping regulations and experience is an advantage;
• Good command of spoken and written English; Able to communicate in Cantonese and Putonghua is advantage; and
• Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
