In BiMOS R&D we develop future generation of IGBTs, diodes for industrial, medium voltage drive, traction, power generation & distribution and renewable energy markets. The development work is done in a close collaboration with the Corporate Research Center in Dättwil and our Power Electronic Center in Turgi.
We are looking for a leading semiconductor expert in the field of power semiconductor device development. As an expert in silicon semiconductor devices you are highly engaged in setting new groundbreaking trends. As a natural leader, you ease at promoting technological ideas to diverse stakeholders, being of strategical importance or for teaching purposes.

Your responsibilities

- Strongly support the development of future generation of Silicon IGBTs and diodes, applying lean methodologies
- Collaborate with internal and external research centers with a strong focus on sustainability
- Propose technology roadmap for our main market segments
- Own and drive the observe and explore activity in at least one strategic area
- Internally and externally present project results and provide innovation contribution by papers and patents
- Mentor and train young engineers with focus on R&D activities
- Support the business unit with your expertise all over the product lifetime

Your background

You have a PhD in the field of semiconductor physics and more than ten years of experience in a research and development environment. You are recognized as expert on semiconductor technologies and designs, preferably in the field of power devices. In addition to that, you have a strong network in the semiconductor community and have a vision of future trends. As a strong team player you strive to share your knowhow and challenge the status quo. You act as facilitator to explore new ideas within your organization and have natural ease promoting results.
