Key Objectives/Deliverables:

• Delivery of a web portal that hosts, retrieves and visualizes data upon user query into an internal IT environment through installation, programming and software/data integration.
• Work with the RIT team to deliver project documentation which complies with quality policies.
• Obtain and leverage deep knowledge of research processes and technologies, to ensure solutions meet the needs and to influence future application and research direction.
• Networking and aligning technical design with architecture and internal service teams.
• Communicate and adhere to the global strategy, IT processes and best practices for technology integration and solution analysis, to develop solutions that are scalable and sustainable.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Deep technical knowledge with more than 3 years of experience with software development life cycle, spanning the entire lifecycle from project initiation to development, deployment, support.
• Familiar with the web (frontend and backend) design and implementation for biomedical research, e.g. www.cbioportal.com
• More than 2 years of hands experience on web application related programming such as Java, Django, D3, HTML, CSS etc.
• Experience on database, MS SQL, Oracle etc
• Prior experience on Agile software development.
• Prior experience in online conference or conference webcast.
• Excellent self-management skills and ability to work independently, seeking guidance when necessary
• Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, learn and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes
